Born April 15, 1960 in Baltimore, city. I attended school in the city in which I was born and went on to graduate in 1978.
My mom and dad were caring, loving parents. Father did not spare the rod of correction when it was needed. Mother would insist
that we went to church and Sunday school every Sunday.
Father went to be with the lord in 1975, leaving my mother to raise five children, which was not an easy task. My life
took a turn for the worst, and the devil had a hold on me for twenty-four years. While I was in Satins grasp, I fell into
a multitude of sin that led to corruption, drug addiction, and jail.
I have always enjoyed music and singing. With in the last twelve years, I have sung in five local groups, but something
was missing. Although I enjoyed the sweet sound of harmony, something was still absent in my life.
One day, a neighbor invited me to sit in on one of his group rehearsals. Never before in my life had I experienced the
feelings I had that one evening at that rehearsal. This group of guys, (The Wise Men) were praying, sharing Holy Scripture
with each other, and worshipping God, before they even began to sing. When they did sing, they were singing with praises to
God. It all took place in that order. It brought me to tears of joy.
I know this was a fellowship I wanted to be a part of. It was made clear to me that Christ had to be in my life and I had
to be an active member of a Bible truth teaching church. Thanks be to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has placed me were
I needed to be. I joined Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries, (home church to most of the members of the Wise Men) and was
baptized. Now a member of the Wise Men Ministries and Mount Pleasant, my life has taken an up hill turn. For the first time
in my life, I have an intimate relationship with God. My troubled behavior has been changed.
The scripture that means so much to me is, "Romans 6:23. For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
