Let everything that has breath praise ye the lord (Palsm 150:6)
One of the commitments I have made to my lord and savior Jesus Christ is to use the breath he has given me to glorify his
name with the saxophone. He first gave me that breath on September 6, 1954 in Nashville, Tenn. My mother, Roberta Raiford
William, and father, (the late Rev. Robert M. Williams (pastor and founder of the Prince of Peace Baptist Church), raised
me in a caring Christian home in Baltimore, MD.
At an early age, my parents sent me to study music theory under the late Professor James Holliman. During a rebellious
period of my life I gave up music studies for sport and other activities. After graduating from Northern High School in 1972,
I attended Bowie State University where I majored in physical education. In 1982 I joined the Three-Clef Orchestra which consisted
of some of Baltimores finest musicians.
On September 16, 1989 I married a wonderful lady Nicole Marie Clark of Radford VA. From this union came two children, Kimberly
Marie and Christopher Bruce Williams. I have one sister, Ramona, and two brothers, Marcus A. and R Moses Jr.
I am currently an active member of The Prince of Peace Baptist Church in Baltimore. During one of our out door services
a group of men came to praise the lord through singing. The called themselves "The Wise Men". They all had wonderful singing
voices, which they used to praise God, our Father. Many of us at the POPBC were truly touch by the Holy Spirit on that day.
I thank God everyday for allowing me to be a part of this ministry. I pray that we will continue to lift up the name of Jesus,
that even more souls will be led to him through song.
