I was Born and raised in Hopewell, Virginia. As a child and in my teenage years I sang in church choirs. However, after leaving Virginia in 1981 to attend Morgan State University, I left behind that which should have been most important in my life, my relationship with God.

I began to sing with numerous accapella singing groups, whose repertoire was mainly motown, R&B, oldies, and goodies. Still there was emptiness in my life. The Lord began to make me feel uncomfortable and my conviction became stronger and stronger, I would hear the Lord say, "I want all of you. No one else or nothing else can come before me". Finally, I yield to the call and surrendered all to Jesus. I have been a member of Mt. Pleasant Church and Ministries for eleven years, and now I can honestly say, "every day with Jesus truly becomes sweeter and sweeter".

My mission is to bless God with the ability He has given me by lifting Him up with my voice and then to minister to others with the gospel in song. The choice has been made. There is no turning back. I have stepped over the line. I wont let up, give up, or shut up. My focus is clear, my path straight, my God is reliable. I am a disciple of Christ. For someone to understand my spirit, you have to first understand from whence I have come. Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy.

My favorite Scripture is John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
