Bernard Jones Jr.

Born in the city of Baltimore Maryland on June 16, 1957 as the only son of Bernard Sr. and Evelyn Jones and the brother of four sisters, Gwen, Pat, Karen and Cynthia. I was educated in the Baltimore City School system.

All through my childhood years I carried a passion for music. At the age of seven, four of my friends and I formed a small singing /dance group, imitating the Temptations. The routine caught the eye of our schoolteacher who arranged an audience at her home in order to show case our talents. Not long after I found an interest in playing the guitar. I had no idea that one day I would be playing the guitar or any other instrument to the glory of God.

In June of 1975 I enhanced my life experiences by joining the Army National Guard. After my military training and discharge, I gained employment in a local nursing center. It was during that employment that I met the love of my life, Helen Jones. In June of 1986 we were united in holy matrimony. With my name being Jones and her maiden name also being Jones, she would often tell people with a sense of humor that she gave me her last name.

May God forever bless her, while not putting her before God; I often refer to her as "my everything". We are the proud parents of three children, Angela, Bernard III and, Marco. In addition we have eight wonderful grandchildren.

How I became a member of The Wise Men And Wise Men Ministries was nothing other than the work of God. One day while I was at my place of employment, a man came on the site, sing, shouting, and praising God. Being that I was a newborn (in Christ) with a hunger and desire instilled in me to know more about the Lord, this man’s behavior caught my attention. We began sharing a few Christian moments and one thing led to another. This man, Brother Michael McFadden invited me to engagement where they The Wise Men were ministering along with Dorothy Norwood. What an awesome anointing these brothers carry. It is the anointing that’s only given by God.

There was no question about it, God showed me, and I know this ministry was my calling. I met the other members of The Wise Men after the service. They prayed for my wife and I and invited me to the upcoming services. After attending a couple of they’re other engagements (and receiving a physical healing in one of the services given at Zoe Miracle Church Outreach Center), I went to one of the group rehearsals, another worship experience. The ministry took me in and I have been with them and playing my guitar for the Lord every since. I love everyone connected with this ministry and pray for Gods’ continual blessings on The Wise Men, in Jesus’ name.

My favorite scripture: Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
